FTP Upload Guide - Agents
1) Do you list properties with the UK's number one property website?
2) Upload to Mintlocation.com free of charge
3) Simply register an account
4) Send us a data feed sample to ftp@mintlocation.com,
5) Provided data is correct format you will be sent a Unique ID and FTP details.
6) FTP upload data to mintlocation.com as a .ZIP (BLM and image files) file as per our Automated Data Feed Specification download click here!
7) Properties will then be listed live on mintlocation.com.
FTP Upload Guide - Software Providers
1) Once happy that the feed meets the requirements a copy of it should be emailed to mintlocation.com at adfteam@mintlocation.com
2) From there a member of the mintlocation team will verify the feed and provide any feedback to the agent/developer if changes are required. Once the feed is approved the agent will be given a branch id. This branch id is used to identify the correct user account on mintlocation.
3) For developers uploading properties on behalf of multiple agents you will need to obtain each agent’s branch id so it can be integrated into the feed. The agent should also obtain the developers branch id and via the property manager use the “Ownership Handover” function to supply the developer’s branch id. Mintlocation uses this to verify that the developer has permission to modify the agent’s property files.
4) When a developer is uploading a feed it must supply the property information for all of the agents it has ownership for. This is because each agent that is handled has its properties removed from the system when a new feed is detected, they are then added back into the system one by one. This helps to keep the mintlocation database in order and stop duplicate properties appearing. If you need to remove a property from the system simply remove it from your feed and it will not be re-activated. You can always add it back to the feed to it have re-activated at any time.
5) Once all feeds are verified the agent/developer will be provided with the ftp username and password to upload their files to. These files are processed every night at 2am so the uploads must take place before this. If no changes are required then there is no need for a new upload. Agents/Developers are best to schedule a task to handle this automatically on a daily basis.
